Meet Little Branches Genealogy

Your Family Historians

Little Branches Genealogy is owned and run by Theresa Malviya, MA, BA (Hons).

History has always been my passion, right from an early age, and I love discovering what I call the little people, the ones you won't find in history books. Those at the bottom of society who rarely have a voice but played such an important role in our history. My family tree is full of them - agricultural labourers, mill workers, coprolite diggers.

After leaving school I study history at the Open University, achieving a BA (Hons) and a MA in history. My specialist areas are Victorian Britain and World War 2.

I've been working on my own family tree for many years, tracing my ancestors back to the late 1700s using a variety of documents and records and after taking maternity leave in 2017 I was lucky enough to have a little spare time to work on and extend my family tree. As part of this I chose to take some courses with Pharos Tutors which has led me to gain the Intermediate Certificate in Family History Skills and Strategies. Currently I am studying the advance certificate with the aim to complete this in 2026.

I grew up in the beautiful villages surrounding Cambridge and this is where my own ancestors were based. However I am now located in North East Lincolnshire, just by the coast and not far from the scenic Lincolnshire Wolds.

I am committed to helping you discover your ancestry through dedicated research and expert analysis.
